Ancient Giants:

Were the fathers of our father’s giants? They probably had a gigantic spirit; their vast knowledge and great powers made them giants comparing with the dwarfs we are. But they were also very large in size. Everyone has heard of the giant characters of legend, sometimes called cyclops or ogres. Giants have generally presented as creatures so big that the earth trembled when they walked. It seems however that the giants are not just fairy tales, considering the fact that their remains have been found all over the world.

The mystery of their civilization remains to this day and there is even a sort of secrecy in this regard, a convention to sweep any evidence of their existence under the rug. The Iroquois, the Osage, the Tuscaroras, the Hurons, the Omahas, and many other North American Indians all speak of giant men who once lived and roamed in the territories of their forefathers. All over what is now the U.S. are traditions of these ancient giants.

The Bible often involve giants: Nephilim were semi-divine beings. The King Og had an iron bed 6.7ft by 14: he would be at least 12ft tall. Goliath, the gigantic rival that King David brought down with his sling, was 9.2ft tall. In Rome about 235, they said the Thracian Maximinus Caesar had an 8.6ft skeleton. A serious candidate to NBA!

Greek mythology introduced three divine families: firstly, the Cyclops was elemental giants; they mastered lightning and thunder. Then the Titans, divine giants, were the masters of life, creators of Man. Finally, the Giants, divine bastards, were the masters of death and destruction. Zeus inherited his mastery of lightning from the Cyclops. A Titan himself, Zeus can take any appearance – ie a giant or an animal.

Hindu mythology is introducing giants of all kinds. The best known are the devas, lower gods manifested in the guise of excessive beings. The heroes like Krishna or Arjuna -both demigods- could take at will the appearance of giants. Celtic mythology also mentions a lot of giants. First of all is the legendary Tuatha De Danann, the people of goddess Dana. To the Celts of Ireland, the Tuatha were the builders of the megaliths, defeated by the Celts at the battle of Mag Tuired.

The Sumerians too said that the first men were giants. So were the former gods. A fairly common thing is showed in their paintings. They show tall and small people together. At first glance, except for a specialist, one doesn’t really matter the difference in size between the characters, because one thinks that the little characters are in the background, so they appear smaller.

This is definitely a modern way of thinking. In ancient times, the laws of perspective were unknown, the first and the background did not differ in size. So what did it mean? The little characters are men. And the great ones are giants. Just compare them to the animals’ size.

Ancient Giants

Depending on the region of Romania where the legends come from, there are different names for giants. In the Boziorul area, giants are known as “Tartars” (“tartari”), for example. A number of unusually tall skeletons have been uncovered at Scaieni, in Buzaului Mountains. For instance, when locals tried to plant apple trees on a hill, they accidentally discovered humanoid skeletons of over 2.4 meters (8.2 feet) tall along with pottery fragments

With Rosia Montana being a mining area, a number of interesting discoveries have been unearthed there over the years – one of the most interesting being a skeleton of a 10 meter (32.8 feet) tall giant which was found in 1976.

About 5,500 years ago, an underground gallery was constructed in the region by the Agathyrsi. In February 2012, a group of geologists followed the gold vein in the same place. They kept digging until they ended up at the base of the gallery.

To their utter surprise, they found a gravestone which was definitely not made of common rock. The geologists took a sample, and the laboratory results revealed that the components of the tombstone included 55% 50 karat gold dust, 15% granite dust and 30% Wolfram.

Also, the analysis revealed that the composite rock had been made using a type of technology unknown today The Giants have been discovered in Scaieni in Buzau County, Mariuta in Calarasi County, Persani Mountains, Polovragi, Piatra Craiului, Tara Hategului, Cetateni beneath Negru Voda Monastery, and in many other places. Maramures, the Fortress of Oncesti (“Cetatea de la Oncesti”) was believed to be the home of the giants – ROMANIA.

Over 1000 accounts of seven-foot and taller skeletons have reportedly been unearthed from ancient burial sites over a two-hundred-year period in North America. Newspaper accounts, town and county histories, letters, scientific journals, diaries, photos and Smithsonian Ethnology reports have carefully documented this. These skeletons have been reported from coast to coast with strange anatomic anomalies such as double rows of teeth, jawbones so large as to be fit over the face of the finder, and elongated skulls, documented in virtually every state.

Off the California coast, ancient articles are many. Thousands of giant skeletons have been reported with blond or red hairstreaks.

From the human scale to that of the Carthaginian giants, giants’ fossils of all sizes have been identified until now.

The most incredible discovery took place near Carthage when the city still existed 23 centuries ago: the diggers unearthed two 36 ft skeletons!

Near Agadir, Morocco, a prehistoric workshop tool was unearthed dated to 300,000 years.

Among other things, there were two axes with a weight of 17.6 lb and grasping requires the hand of a giant at least 13 ft.” (source) In Texas, the Valley of the Giants, Dr CN Dougherty reports that they found “hundreds of dinosaur tracks of different species and in each case, they were accompanied by traces of giant human footprints.” Not to mention the discovery near Valence (France) in 1456, a skeleton that measured more than 7 meters.

Even if the pictures are missing – and for good reason – the testimony of trustworthy people excludes any fake.
Another convincing trace: see delusional proportions of these Flintstones. If they were cut to fit a hand, it should have been the hand of a jolly good giant. We can judge from the tiny size of an adult hand, besides these gigantic prehistoric flint scrapers.

The greatest prehistoric battle and burying ground yet discovered in the United States has just been found near the little town of Redlands, Kansas. It lies on the northern border of the Choctaw Indian reservation and near the Arkansas River.

An ancient legend has long existed in Georgia, about the mysterious giants and this legend now became reality. They lived 25,000 years ago in the mountains of the Borjomi (Lesser Caucasus Mountains). A Nevada Indian legend mentions the existence of 12 ft tall red-haired giants who lived in the area when the Indians first arrived. The story says the Native American had killed off the giants down in a cave. Excavations of guano in 1911 turned up this human jaw. Here it is compared to a casting of a normal man’s jawbone. In 1931 two skeletons were found in a lake bed. One was 8′ tall, the other just under 10′ tall.

Plutarch claimed that Sertorius had actually seen the tomb of the giant Antaeus. The skeleton was gigantic. The Abbé Pegues wrote in “The Volcanoes of Greece” that:

“… in the neighborhood of the volcanoes of the isles of Thera, giants with enormous skulls were found laid out under colossal stones, the erection of which must have necessitated everywhere the use of titanic powers, and which tradition associates in all countries with the ideas about giants, volcanoes and magic…”
“It is confrmed by the Greek and Latin poets, who relate that were giants in the first ages of the world, and also by the Greek and Latin historians, particularly by Pausanias and Philostratus among the Greeks, and Pliny among the Romans, who have recorded that on opening some sepulchres, the bodies of men were found to be much larger in old times.
