Hoia-Baciu Forest | In the heart of Eastern Europe is a mysterious wood notorious for UFO sightings, disembodied screams, and the inexplicable burns left on those who enter.
The Hoia-Baciu Forest (World’s Most Haunted Forest) can be found in the heart of Transylvania, Romania, just outside the ancient town of Cluj-Napoca. Often referred to as Romania’s “Bermuda Triangle,” the dense woodland is notorious for its paranormal activities – including UFO sightings, disembodied screams, faces appearing in photographs that were not visible with the naked eye, and in the 1970s, UFO sightings were reported.
The forest was named after a shepherd that disappeared in the area with a flock of two hundred sheep. Most people who live near the forest are afraid to enter it due to the stories and legends that have been handed down. They believe that those who visit the site will never return back home. Many of the locals who have been brave enough to venture into the forest complained of physical harm, including rashes, nausea, vomiting, migraines, burns, scratches, anxiety, and other unusual sensations.
The mysterious nature of the forest doesn’t end with its effect on humans, either. Misshapen trees grow irregularly out of the ground, while other trunks appear curiously charred. Deep in the wood is a nearly perfect circular clearing in which no plants are able to grow. Even the woodland creatures of Hoia-Baciu are unusual. In one instance, a group of hikers was startled by the sudden appearance of a great wolf. The beast stared blankly at the intruders, then calmly walked away.
This dense forest first gained notoriety in the late 1960s when a biologist named Alexandru Sift snapped several amazing photos of a flying disc-shaped object in the sky above the forest. On August 18, 1968, a military technician named Emil Barnea captured a famous photo of a saucer flying over the Hoia-Baciu Forest (World’s Most Haunted Forest). Then, in the 1970s, the area was a hotbed for UFO sighting and unexplained lights. Some people believe that the forest is a gateway to another dimension. Within the dark interior of Hoia-Baciu Forest, people have been known to disappear, strange lights have been seen, the wind seems to speak. Several stories tell of people entering the forest and experiencing missing time.
Some have known to be missing for quite some time with no recollection of how they had spent that time. One such story focuses on a 5-year-old girl who wandered into the woods and got lost. The story goes that she emerged from the forest 5 years later, wearing the same untarnished clothes that she wore on the day she disappeared with no memory of where had happened in that interval of time.
Story of the Best UFO Picture Ever Taken
In the morning of August 18, 1968, Emil Barnea, a 45-year-old construction technician, which had been an officer in the army, known for his integrity, and his girlfriend Zamfira Mattea, aged 34, an employee in a charity organization, we’re taking a walk and went towards the wood of Hoia-Baciu, near the city of Cluj in Romania. They were accompanied by two other people, a man and a woman, who remained anonymous because they wanted their privacy respected. The weather was splendid, and the four decided to stop and have lunch under the sun in a small clearing of the wood, close of the road from Cluj to Bucharest. Emil Barnea went to seek seasoned wood for a campfire. There was no wind, and the only sounds were the birds singing. He then heard his girlfriend calling to invite it to come to see something which intrigued her. It was 01:23 p.m.
Barnea came back from the clearing and looked at what her girlfriend indicated to him: above the clearing where they were, there was a round craft in the sky, rather large, of metallic appearance, which reflected the sunlight as if it were silver plated. The machine slowly flew above the wood, without any noise. Barnea then rushed towards his bag from which he extracted his camera, he estimated the lighting and the distance and took the first photo. As the machine went always rather slowly, it had more than enough time to take a second shot. He noticed variations of the luminosity of the craft and its fluctuating flight. At this time, the craft suddenly accelerated, going up, and Barnea had just the time to take two more photographs before the machine was too far away to be seen.
His fourth photograph was never publicly published because the other couple appeared on it, and they really did not want to be identified. This fourth photography was nevertheless shown by Emil Barnea to ufologists Florin Gheorghita and Ion Hobana later, it shows the machine who had become very small in relative size and as lost in a sort of cloud. The four witnesses had followed all the evolutions of the machine, which had lasted approximately two minutes, and then stood quite some time in awe and not knowing what to say.
At the end of a few days, the shock which this experiment had caused them had dissipated. At the end of one week or two, the film roll in Emil Barnea’s camera was finished, and he developed it and made some prints. He was hesitant as of what to do about the observation and of the photographs, knowing that people talking of flying saucers were generally ridiculed. The last reported UFO was filmed over Baciu Forest in 2002 by two Cluj residents who lived on the top floor of a building on the outskirts of the neighbourhood Minister. The UFO’s were caught on film for 27 seconds and were described as an evolution of a bright object in the sky that was shaped like a cigarette and a length of about 50 meters. The UFO rose and went across the sky until it went into a mass of clouds and disappeared.
Hoia-Baciu Forest
The mysterious Hoia-Baciu Forest is beginning to compete more and more with the Dracula legend in Transylvania…It has become more famous because of unexplained phenomena, which are considered by some as manifestations of the paranormal. This forest’s fame is spreading worldwide.
These “mysteries” such as the subject Baciu Forest in Transylvania, not mysteries, but so are allowed to appear in reality because those who lead us (Illuminati) know everything about them. The idea is to keep the population in ignorance and make them believe in spirits and ghosts and that they bad for them somehow create panic and people hate instead of loving these astral beings.
If you look at most people whether they are from Romania or anywhere else on the planet they are fascinated and somewhat scared to talk about ghosts or astral beings. All of this being part of a larger plan to have a human society based on fear of spirits and that creates fear to face any challenge. Further investigations in the future for Baciu Forest may begin to resolve this strange, intoxicating “mystery” that is obscured by decades of public opinion and secrecy. Perhaps no one will ever know just what is going on in the dense woods of Hoia-Baciu. Rumours of time travel and doors to other dimensions are certainly exaggerated.
